CA Global African Banking is currently looking for a CEO for one of its microfinance clients in Africa.
Overview:
Our client is currently looking for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to be based in Kinshasa DRC. The Country Director / CEO is the Managing Director of the affiliate and directly responsible for the day-to-day management of the affiliate. This includes direct responsibility for the management of the economic and human resources of the affiliate, its operational and financial performance, as well as the development of its institutional capacity. In all his/her activities, s/he will be guided by the principle of good stewardship for the client and their mission, responsibility and accountability to the organization and its authorized agents and bodies. In order to fulfill his/her tasks, s/he will provide best-practice leadership with the employees of the affiliate; s/he will manage and will adequately and efficiently employ human and other resources in the affiliate, as well as make adequate and efficient use of resources available.
The Candidate’s responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Ensure high quality financial services to the clientele, and maximize outreach to the target group in a sustainable way,
- Implement best-practice corporate governance, management, organizational structure and procedures, staff development, financial management, and risk management principles,
- Ensure compliance with the Charter/bylaws of the affiliate; their policies, procedures, plans and agreements; decisions of affiliate governing bodies as well as headquarter and regional office; maintain good coordination with regional office, headquarters, and governing bodies,
- Mobilize funding resources in form of debt and/or grant capital,
- Promote the client in the country,
- Contribute to the development of the client’s network.
The Candidate must have;
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in related discipline required
- Experience in commercial/retail banking - 8 years minimum
- Experience in credit - 4 years minimum
- International experience in developing countries - 3 years minimum
- Experience working in microfinance an asset, experience in setting up microfinance programs preferred, branch management exposure preferred,
- Risk Management experience required,
- Proven people management skills
- Exposure, and established interest in working towards poverty alleviation
- Strategic planning exposure a must
- Experience in cash flow projections
- Excellent entrepreneurial, leadership, communication skills
- Self-confidence, decisiveness and common sense
- High degree of computer literacy a must
- Fluency in English and French required

CA Global Africa recruitment is currently looking for a Programmer Analyst for one of its clients in Africa.
Objectives:
· Participate in the Bank’s SAP projects and implementations
· Participate in the Bank’s SAP projects and implementations activities with other development partners if the need arises
· Provide specifications to Abap developers or perform specific Abap developments related to SAP HCM modules;
The Candidate’s responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
The incumbent would work closely under the supervision of a team lead in the configuration or development of SAP HCM module needs of the Bank’s key users. Specifically, under the supervision of a Project leader, he would be required to:
1. Develop feasibility studies and requirements analysis to justify and support the development of new and enhanced information systems.
2. Analyse user requirements, develops designs, and perform systems configuration as required to resolve user needs. Work with 1.ABAP and 2.Basis personnel in defining custom program specifications and trouble shooting
3. Perform configuration changes to accommodate change requests and conduct prototyping activities. Work with the other SAP experts in resolving software bugs. Perform initial testing of problem fixes, change requests, enhancement assessments and make recommendations to CIMM management.
4. Demonstrate proof of concepts to users. Conduct user sessions to address problems, issues and resolve them. Train users as at when the need arises on designated SAP Module.
5. Work with the CIMM Help Desk in problem resolution and user support.
6. Participate in release upgrade or new functionality/enhancement assessments. Keep abreast of SAP releases, enhancements/new functionality and perform application research.
7. Interact with contract personnel to produce requirements and system documentation for software projects. Serve as Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) for assigned contract support services tasks.
The Candidate must have;
· At least a Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree in Engineering
· At least four years of relevant experience, two of which are in SAP HCM module practice
· Working knowledge of any other SAP module or certification on the HCM module would be an advantage
· Working experience in a similar financial multilateral institution would be an advantage
· Strong interpersonal skills;
· Bilingual preferably, or ability to communicate effectively in English or French with a working knowledge of other
· Knowledge of the Bank’s standard software: Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Project, Access .e.t.c.
