Managing Director (MD) – Private Equity & Venture Capital, Nairobi Kenya

CA Global Africa recruitment is currently looking for a highly qualified candidate for the role of Managing Director for one of its clients in Africa.

Overview:

Our client a not-for-profit entity founded to promote, develop and stimulate private equity and venture capital in Africa. The successful candidate will facilitate the overall management and oversee all strategic, operational, financial, and administrative aspects. This position reports directly to the Board

The main purpose of the role and KPI’s:

- Promote the venture capital and private equity profession in Africa;
- Represent the profession within Africa and internationally;
- Stimulate the expansion of venture capital and private equity throughout Africa;
- Identify, build relationships with and secure sponsors and partners;
- Build the client’s membership base;
- Circulate industry information to members, stakeholders and the outside world;
- Stimulate and maintain contacts within the membership;
- Advocate to improve the enabling environment for venture capital and private equity in Africa;
- Initiate and supervise the client’s research and publications;
- Organize the annual client conference, Annual General Meetings and training programs;
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships within African and other Venture Capital Organizations
- Ensure administrative and financial management of the association;
- Coordinate the activities and input of the clients Executive Committees and Advisory Board
