Responsibilities

Requirements

Introduction
Develop, implement and monitor the strategy for the Debt Capital Market Division and ensure this is in line with the Group Strategy. To create opportunities for Debt Capital within the client base as well as acquire new clients. Ongoing research in debt market conditions, client-specific issues such as legal, regulatory or accounting issues, and in the formulation of detailed recommendations to the Client’s executive management and stakeholders. Preparation of presentation materials for prospective clients as well as the execution of advisory mandates.
Responsibilities

The role would include all subsets of fixed interest and listed debt issues, i.e. loans / funding, structured and specialised finance. Looking for someone with international experience (mainly in Africa) - someone who can do business development, from originating trades to executing trades. Experience in DFI Funding and Equity buy outs preferred.

Develop and propose client solutions
• Undertake rigorous financial analyses of client’s financial status
• Use all appropriate information-gathering sources (e.g. The Internet) to obtain substantive client information

Introduction
The incumbent a critical part of the management and control of administrative and capital expenditures of the Bank Group, is primarily responsible for the delivery of timely and efficient payment processing services. Such responsibility also includes the exercise of effective controls over administrative and capital expenditure payment requests to not only safeguard the assets of the Bank, but also contribute to the efficient implementation of the administrative and capital budgets of the Bank Group and of various multilateral and bilateral grants
Responsibilities
• Supervise staff of the Division to ensure that payments are made promptly and accurately

• Participate in Finance Complex Working Groups on Asset and Liability management issues.
• Coordinate External auditors’ work on administrative expenses.
Requirements
• Applicants should hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Audit or Business Administration, and an internationally recognized professionally accounting qualification e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA or Expert Comptable.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience including an international financial organization and covering provision of services to customers and business process innovation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English or French with a good working knowledge of the other language
• Proficiency in the use of SAP and other standard software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (certification in the FI module of SAP will be an advantage)
• Strong managerial skills including ability to coordinate the work of the Division and motivate team members.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Good analytical skills; able to propose measures aimed at cost savings and efficiency.

Job Description

• The job holder must ensure full aware of all the policies and procedures issued in relation to money laundering prevention and Group Sanctions policy. He/she must ensure compliance with these policies and procedures on an ongoing basis. Any suspicious transaction must immediately be reported to the supervising officer.
• Ensure that the principles of TCF (Treating Customers Fairly), as directed and communicated by the SCB Group, are embedded into the work culture. Ensures that the principles are demonstrated in work related to product development and delivery, sales management and the approach to compliant management, retention and Voice of Customer.
• Must comply with all compliance requirements with high attention on a) alertness to AML procedures and take the lead at all times to be alert to unusual or possibly suspicious customer activity. Job holder must report any suspicious transaction to respectively Unit MLPO via LINE MANAGER (reporting manager) or directly to the Country MLPO b) observant of reputation risk c) strict prohibited from mis-selling activities.
• Proactively monitor the risk profile and quality of the portfolio.


Qualifications & Skills

Graduate/Diploma
Strong relevant Banking experience in a client facing role, with considerable understanding of banking operations and transaction banking products
Aptitude for Relationship Management
Pleasing personality with effective communication skills
Arabic language skills would be an added advantage
Overall understanding of Banking business preferably in SME/Transaction banking/Small Market portfolio

Role Synopsis:
Provide credit approvals for all credit actions related to the corporate bank portfolio in Algeria.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate effective decision making ability - make informed and balanced decisions keeping in mind the related risks and the operating environment (borrower specific, industry and country) based on a thorough knowledge of the bank's internal process and policies and an assessment of the borrower and the environment.
Lead and shape the country credit strategy through developing the Portfolio Management Plan including target market and risk acceptance criteria.
Manage the credit portfolio on an ongoing basis; monitor trends, concentrations, WALNs, classifieds, utilization.
Implement & monitor risk / return standards.
Develop, direct, implement the remedial strategy for classified names.
Conduct monthly portfolio meetings with CRMS & Coverage.
Provide guidance to the Coverage and Product areas with respect to customer specific credit/exposure strategy.
Ensure accurate data quality (risk ratings, industry codes, collateral reporting, GDRS, etc).
Manage the credit RCSA process.
Improve productivity through ongoing process redesign where appropriate.
Have a strong grasp of all risk management policies, including, credit, country and cross border policies.
Develop an understanding of local regulatory environment including adherence to Central Bank policies and risk related reporting requirements.
Approve & manage the Country & Cross Border risks & limits. Oversee the Scenario Plans preparation and its monitoring.
Supervise preparation for the credit related ARR reviews as well as manage the Quarterly Business Monitoring Reviews related to credit. Ensure satisfactory ratings.
Provide regular on-the-job training to the relationship managers and Product partners as needed. Ongoing coaching of relationship managers; approve their credit limits.
Maintain a regular calling program on major clients.
Requirements:
At least 10 years’ experience in banking and/or financial services.
University degree required in Accounting or MBA;
Strong understanding of institutional processes and policies and ability to coach and train the RMs
Experience in interacting with and influencing key decision makers internally and externally.
Strong Leadership and Execution Skills.
Ability to Identify, develop and maintain new business-client relationships and other opportunities
