Investment Banking Associate - Johannesburg, South Africa

CA Global Africa recruitment is currently looking for a med-senior Investment Banking Associate to support the Head of Investment Banking in finalising mandates. Their primary output would be to develop Information Memoranda and Financial Models based on information received from clients. The specific candidate would specialise in property portfolios.

Role Responsibilities, but not limited to;

- Ability to take a capital raising and advisory brief from Head: Investment Banking;
- Ability to develop and manipulate Excel spreadsheets in order to prepare complex financial analyses, reports and models
- Assist in conducting due diligence investigations of client companies and assist in giving them financial advice accordingly;
- Involved in the preparation of detailed information memoranda and presentations describing the key features of client companies;
- Ability to research potential buyers/investors and follow market trends;
- Ability to assist at presentations to clients and funders;
- Assist in managing relationships with potential Investors;
- Assist in researching and structuring transactions and closing deals
- Assist in developing new business and marketing the company;
- Effectively participate and contribute to a team that originates structures, distributes and concludes transactions in line with company policies and procedures.

The Candidate must have;

- Typically the candidate would be a commercial graduate with experience in economics;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- They must be able to work under deadline pressure;
- Experience of preparing investment memoranda based on the key features of the client companies;
- Excellent problem solving skills and analytic ability are required;
- Strong work ethics and should have a drive for perfection;
- Needs to be a team player, must be self-motivated and entrepreneurial;
- Must have very strong quantitative and technical skills;
- Must be adept at data management and should possess research skills;
- Must pay attention to details and must be a quick learner.

Indicative Gross Annual Salary (excluding bonuses): R660,000
