The client has an established base in Africa, which provides them with a platform to take advantage of the growth in mergers and acquisitions, and capital market transactions. Project Accountant (CA, unit trust, asset management), Johannesburg, South Africa Introduction Assisting the CEO and CFO to roll-out new products, new funds and business within new countries. Responsibilities • Implementing procedures to ensure compliance within Asset Management • Weekly monitoring of all portfolio positions within the Group – Hands on review/oversight • Refining operational procedures to streamline processes between back office and front office • Implementing weekly and monthly exception reports to ensure sufficient operational control. • On-going monitoring of weekly and monthly exception reports – Hands on review/oversight. • Improve Fund Accounting reports and implement processes for monthly and quarterly financial review. Requirements • Financial degree with 3 years articles, preferably honours degree looking to obtain CA qualification or studying towards a CA qualification • Unit trust, registry experience will be an added advantage • Attention to detail • Dynamic, eager, self-starter • Project and goal orientated • Must have exceptional communication skills, must be able to work with a diversity of cultures and countries • Articles completed • Experience within financial sector • Must have passion for financial sector.
