Head of Advisory (Corporate Finance / Growth and Development of Advisory business in Africa) – Johannesburg South Africa The main purpose of the role will be to build and grow a highly profitable Corporate Finance and Advisory business using the client’s local presence across Africa with a distinct focus on deal origination. Responsibilities: • Driving the growth and development of the advisory business across Africa • Sales and deal origination • Build, manage and motivate teams in various countries • Participate in strategic planning as a member of the executive management team • Ensure delivery of the agreed budgets and KPIs • Management reports • Oversee & coordinate marketing material for transactions • Maintain responsibility for planning and execution of the team’s deliverables, including inter alia, new bond issue prospectuses, client presentations, new listing documentation, financial modeling, client events, compliance, licensing, working with lenders such as financial institutions, agencies and public and private companies (this includes restructuring debt, refinancing debt and raising new debt), equity capital markets (e.g. advising clients on how much capital to raise, from whom and when). • Thoroughly researching market conditions and developments.
