Fund Accountant (CA qualified) – Mauritius

Responsibilities
• Preparation of financial statements for Fund Structures in German in accordance with accounting and regulatory requirements within agreed deadlines;
• Liaise with auditors and any other internal and external parties necessary to prepare, approve and issue reports / financial statements;
• Review of files, statements and records prepared to assist the audits of financial statements.
• Preparation of Net Asset Value Calculation of different types of Funds;
• Maintaining share register and preparation of investor statements
Requirements
• Fluent German and English speaker, preferably looking for a South African / Namibian citizen to relocate
• Candidates should be fully / partly qualified Chartered Accountants (CAs) with 2+ years plus experience in accounting / auditing;
• Looking for 5 years’ experience (including articles)
• Good communication skills are a must – both written and spoken German in order to deal with the administration teams overseas;
• Good attention to detail and ability to work in time pressured environment;
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment;
• German GAAP experience will be an advantage;
• Competence in and active use of appropriate IT tools, Excel/Word and accounting software;
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
