Develop, implement and monitor the strategy for the Debt Capital Market Division and ensure this is in line with the Group Strategy. Responsibilities

Introduction
The incumbent a critical part of the management and control of administrative and capital expenditures of the Bank Group, is primarily responsible for the delivery of timely and efficient payment processing services. Requirements
• Applicants should hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Audit or Business Administration, and an internationally recognized professionally accounting qualification e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA or Expert Comptable.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience including an international financial organization and covering provision of services to customers and business process innovation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English or French with a good working knowledge of the other language

Job Description

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate/Diploma
Strong relevant Banking experience in a client facing role, with considerable understanding of banking operations and transaction banking products
Aptitude for Relationship Management
Pleasing personality with effective communication skills

Executive Structured Finance Specialist, Investment Banking, Johannesburg South Africa

The role is based in Johannesburg but will be required to travel in Africa and potentially Europe.

Role Activities/Responsibilities;

Product development: technical research and input on tax, corporate law, and regulatory capital issues with a view to optimizing cross border investment and financing products including, briefing and interacting with professional advisors. The candidate will operate as the team expert on technical tax / corporate law aspects and will be expected to be the primary driver of the product development process.

Origination: directly involved in the marketing of transactions, preparation and delivery of pitches, negotiation of term-sheets, and tailoring structures to meet client requirements. Candidate should be expected to operate with minimum supervision.

Execution: operate as the transaction lead and principally accountable for managing all aspects of converting a transaction from mandate to final closing, including, preparation of detailed transaction papers for submission to internal approvals committees, liaising with internal approvals functions, financial modeling (supported by the financial modelers in the team), hedging, pricing, collateral, negotiation of transaction documentation, reviewing tax, legal and accounting opinions and operating as the primary client contact throughout the transaction execution process.

Strategy: direct involvement in the strategic aspects of the business, including analysis of new markets, new counterparties and drafting business plans.

Travel: The product support for the Structured Finance franchise resides in Johannesburg, so the candidate will be expected to travel in Africa and potentially Europe, depending on the client / business requirements.

The CEO is responsible for the bank or institution’s development and day-to-day general management, under the authority of the Board of Directors; and the relations with governments and supervisory authorities.

Role overview:

1. Management of the entity as an effective microfinance institution/bank focused on poverty alleviation and provision of financial services and products

2. Development of sustainable institution with a well balanced portfolio; broad geographical and product outreach and maximum impact.

3. Capacity building of a core group of local professionals, capable of staffing all managerial positions in the medium term without recourse to expatriate management or technical assistance.

Duties and responsibilities but not limited to;

CA Global Africa recruitment is currently looking for a highly qualified candidate for the role of Chief Operations Officer for one of its clients. The role is to be based in Mauritius

Overview:

Responsible for operations management with the focus on strategic, tactical and short-term operations management, which means responsibility for the development, design, operations and improvement of systems that create and deliver the business’ products and services. The role reports to the Deputy CEO.

The main purpose of the role and KPI’s:
- Direct day-to-day operations of the business
- Provide financial management, including preparation of an annual budget and monthly tracking
- Overall responsibility for the IT infrastructure, core operational applications and administrative staff involved in delivering core services
- Evaluate technology applications and systems for process improvements and efficiencies
- Develop new systems and processes to meet growth objectives for the business and to improve service to clients
- Achieve corporate goals through the ongoing selection, performance management and development of employees
- Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all internal processes
- Participate in strategic planning as a member of the executive management team
- Develop management reports and business intelligence tools needed to track and measure performance of all business lines
- Implement service level agreements with all clients and ensure delivery within agreed service levels.
- Monitor compliance, licensing and errors and omissions coverage
- Oversee all aspects of facilities management
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage those relationships
- Forster a success orientated, accountable environment within the Company

The Candidate must have; (be able to)
- CA (SA) or equivalent; CFA, MBA
- A minimum of 20 years experience, of which 6 years should have been spent in a similar role or a similar organization. Experience working in multinational listed companies will receive preference.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
- FRENCH proficiency (Prerequisite)
- Perform each essential duty with a high degree of proficiency:
- Ability to manage and motivate a high performing team
- Proven ability to operate independently and exercise significant latitude for independent judgment, discretion and action
- Detailed orientated
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven management skills including designing business controls, measuring performance and ensuring accountability that support the overall business objectives and goals
- Good analytical skills, with the ability to access complex situations and use creativity to solve problems
- Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks within strict time frames
- Customer service orientated
- Good knowledge of HR and IT
- Good working knowledge of technology and its application for the improvement of process and service delivery

Group Head of Trade Products – Corporate Banking, Kenya

CA Global Africa recruitment is currently looking for a highly qualified candidate for the role of Head of Trade Products for one of its International clients to be based in Kenya.

Overview:
- To develop non-traditional and innovative Trade Products to ensure a leading regional trade proposition for the bank. Develop, maintain and review Trade Product Programs for effective use and marketing advantage while ensuring that it is in line with and supports the client’s broader strategy.

- To ensure a strategic and co-ordinated product development & sales focus, servicing the Trade product needs of both existing and new business clients as well as the reporting of all trade activities to relevant stakeholders including Trade Finance and Transaction Banking.

Competencies required:

- Cooperative working style and strong communication skills are required, in order to develop and maintain effective working relationships both externally and internally, with colleagues on the ground in the affiliate, the Region and the Group Office.

The Candidate must have; (experience and education)
- 7-10 year’s international Trade experience
- Ability to interact and negotiate with the client organization at the global decision making level;

- Trade skills
- Good organizational and time management skills are highly desirable;
- Result driven team player;
- Strong networks within the corporate market
- Experience in high level relationship building and maintenance.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Trade, Marketing or related field of study.
- Post Graduate level of education
